Terms of service

In short: no account, rates float until your deposit confirms, every cost is shown in the quote, and if we can't complete a swap your deposit goes back to your refund address.

What we do

SwapDusk converts one cryptocurrency into another for you. We quote a rate, you send a deposit, and we send the converted coins to the address you give us. We don't hold accounts or balances for you.

Rates

Floating rate: the final amount is set when your deposit confirms and may differ from this estimate. All swaps are floating; there is no fixed rate, and the quote is an estimate for your exact amount. The price depends on the amount. If the price moves more than 8% against the estimate before we trade, or the amount you would receive falls below the minimum shown, the swap is held for review and refunded to your refund address, minus the network fee.

Fees

Every quote lists its costs: order-book depth, exchange trading fees, the payout network fee, a price-move buffer and our service margin. What you see under "You get" already includes all of them.

Your address

You are responsible for giving a correct payout address you control. Blockchain transactions can't be reversed, and we can't recover coins sent to a wrong address.

Refunds

If we can't complete a swap, we return your deposit to your refund address, minus the network fee to send it. Without a refund address, contact us with your swap ID.

Prohibited use

Don't use SwapDusk for funds from illegal activity, or from a place where using this service is against the law. We may hold or refuse transactions linked to fraud, theft or sanctions.

Shielded and unsupported deposits

Shielded PIVX is its own option: pick PIVX (Shielded) to send from a shielded ps1… address, and plain PIVX for a transparent D… address. Payouts to a shielded ps1… address are supported. Refunds for a shielded deposit go to a shielded ps1… address. Deposits on networks other than the one shown can be lost.

Coins you can receive

You can swap any listed coin for any other, except the same coin on another network. Some coins can be sent to us but not received yet (shown as "send only" when you pick what you get). Where no single market joins your two coins, we make two trades through a second market; the quote already includes both trading fees, and you get one rate and one minimum.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. Network congestion, exchange maintenance and chain reorganisations can delay swaps. We are not liable for losses from price moves during those delays.

Keep the swap ID from your tracking link. It is how we find your swap, and we ask for it before we answer any question about a deposit or refund.
